On June 25, 2026, our school celebrated an event we had been looking forward to all year — the graduation of the elementary school in Pozniaky at Montessori School and the graduation of the 0 grade school preparation program in Pozniaky. As the principal, this is not my first time seeing graduates off, but every time it is a special day: for the children, for the parents, and for our team of educators.
How Our Graduation Ceremony at Montessori School Went
As is our tradition, we held the celebration outdoors, on the green playground of the school
yard at 2 Myshuhy Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. Children in real graduation caps, festive decorations in Ukrainian style, balloons, colorful flags — and, of course, the most important thing: genuine emotions.
We invited the parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers of our students to the ceremony. This is fundamentally important to me: in the Montessori approach, the family is a full participant in the educational process, and it is together with families that we experience every stage of a child’s growth. It was touching to see the adults watching with tears of pride as their children received their first diplomas.
Grade 4 Elementary School Graduation: Our First “Grown-Up” Graduates
Our Grade 4 students have completed the full cycle of elementary education based on the Montessori method. Over these years, they have learned not just to read, write, and count — they have learned how to learn: to plan their day independently, choose their work, see things through to the end, help younger children, and respect others.
In my conviction as an educator with many years of experience, this is the main outcome of elementary school. Knowledge can always be acquired, but inner motivation, independence, and self-confidence are formed precisely at this age. I am confident that our graduates will be among the best in middle school — this is exactly what teachers say about Montessori children at the schools our students move on to.
0 Grade School Preparation Graduation: A Step from Kindergarten to the School Desk
No less solemn was the 0 grade graduation of the school preparation program in Pozniaky at Montessori School — our preschoolers who completed the kindergarten program this year. The little ones in graduation caps looked incredibly serious and proud!
The school preparation program at our kindergarten is not about “drilling” children before first grade. Children work with classic Montessori materials: they master the decimal system with the golden bead bank, learn reading and writing with the movable alphabet, and develop fine motor skills, concentration, and perseverance. They enter first grade not only with academic skills but with the most important thing — a love of learning.
Enrollment at Montessori School in Pozniaky Is Now Open
We have already opened enrollment for the new school year:
- Grade 1 of elementary school — for children aged 6–7;
- 0 grade school preparation program and kindergarten groups — for preschoolers aged 5–6.
We are located at: 2 Myshuhy Street, Pozniaky, Darnytskyi district, Left Bank, Kyiv.
I invite parents to book an individual tour: you will see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and be able to ask me personally any questions about Montessori education. The number of places in our groups is limited — we deliberately keep our classes small so that every child receives enough attention.
