Montessori Teaching Programme for Children 3–6 Years
At every age children have their own interests and development needs.
For children 3–6 years the programme is structured around three key stages:
Children 3–4 years — Practical Life and Sensory Development
At this age children develop practical life skills through activities
in themed zones:
- caring for themselves, animals and plants
- food preparation, tidying and cleaning
- handicrafts and creative activities
The sensitive period of development falls between
ages 3–4 and gradually fades by age 5. Our teachers therefore dedicate
maximum time to sensory exercises — building the foundation for
mathematics and writing.
Children 4–6 years — School Preparation
After age 4, children naturally develop an interest in writing and
reading. The programme includes:
- Ukrainian and English language learning
- elementary mathematics and logic
- alphabet, reading and writing
- physical development
- creative development — drawing, music, dancing
The teacher’s role is to guide each child toward activities that best
develop their potential, while ensuring well-rounded development across
all areas. After our kindergarten, your child is fully prepared
for 1st grade.
