Montessori Toddler Group 1.5–3 Years — Learning Environment

Thanks to the Montessori method, we teach children independence from
an early age — laying a strong foundation for their future development
and achievements. Children freely choose their activities within a
specially prepared Montessori environment divided
into five key zones:
1. Practical Life
Activities in the Practical Life area consist of familiar everyday
objects and tasks, divided into four categories:
- care of self — washing hands, dressing, putting on shoes
- care of the environment — tidying toys, cleaning surfaces
- control of movement — pouring, transferring, folding
- grace and courtesy — greetings, communication with peers
2. Sensorial Development

The Sensorial area helps children become more aware of the world
around them. Each activity focuses on one key quality:
- colours, shapes and sizes of objects
- touch, sound and smell
- taste and temperature perception
3. Language Arts
Language activities focus on:
- expanding the child’s vocabulary
- correct pronunciation and sentence construction
- shapes and sounds of letters
- matching words and pictures
4. Mathematics
Early mathematics activities introduce children to:
- counting and number recognition
- sorting and classifying objects
- understanding quantity and size
- introduction to the decimal system
5. Cultural Studies
Cultural activities help children explore the world around them:
- animals, plants, fruits and vegetables
- living and non-living nature
- introduction to geography, art and music
The teacher carefully observes each child — helping them socialise,
build communication skills and make new friends.
